Mirey Atallah

Mirey Atallah is the Chief of the Adaptation and Resilience Branch within UNEP's Climate Change Division. With over 20 years of experience across private industry, public administration, NGOs, and the UN, she leads efforts on mobilizing private and public finance for climate action, developing programs for ecosystem-based adaptation, national adaptation planning, REDD+ programs, and addressing loss and damage, all aimed at aligning human well-being with the health of the planet. Mirey has worked extensively in the Arab States and Sub-Saharan Africa, focusing on environmental finance, resource mobilization, and project management. Her work is instrumental in driving UNEP’s mission to provide strategic guidance and high-impact actions toward global climate stability.
