Reem Alabali Radovan

Reem Alabali Radovan has been serving as Germany's Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development since May 2025. Prior to this role, she held the position of Federal Government Commissioner for Anti-Racism (2022-2025) and was Minister of State for Migration, Refugees, and Integration from 2021 to 2025. She has been a Member of the German Parliament since 2021.

With a strong foundation in political science from the Freie Universität Berlin, Reem Alabali Radovan’s career spans key roles in government and policy-making. From 2020 to 2021, she was the Integration Officer in the Ministry of Social Affairs, Integration, and Gender Equality of the federal state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Earlier in her career, she contributed to the German Near and Middle East Association (NUMOV) and the German Orient-Institute.

Reem Alabali Radovan is committed to fostering solidarity, fighting poverty, and promoting global justice. She advocates for the protection of human rights and strives to create opportunities for all people to live with dignity, both within Germany and globally.
