Alvin Munyasia

Alvin Munyasia is Action Against Hunger’s Horn of Africa & East Africa, Advocacy and Communications Specialist. He is a passionate, dedicated, and result-driven policy and advocacy practitioner with a successful background in implementing people-centered movements and working directly with grassroots communities’ advocacy in addressing the root causes of hunger. He has gained experience working with civil society organizations, networks, movements, and coalitions that have a presence across Africa and beyond, targeting the African Union with her organs & UN Agencies. Alvin is also a Young Africa Leaders Initiative Fellow, A Rotarian, and a Member of the Leading African Voices Initiative, and engages at Chatham House. He founded one local NGO, the Centre for Climate Action, and sits on three boards supporting locally-led community-based organizations.
