Melanie Coath

Melanie Coath is Climate Change Principal at the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB), Europe’s largest nature conservation organisation. She has worked in the environment sector for over 20 years, and in the UK she is a leading civil society voice for putting nature at the heart of climate action. She has been engaged with the UNFCCC since 2008, firstly leading environmental NGOs engagement on accounting and policies for land use change and forestry on the LULUCF accounting system and now coordinating a civil society group championing the role of ecosystems in the UNFCCC as part of Climate Action Network (CAN International).
