Sophie Knabner

Sophie Knabner is Policy Advisor for Climate and Global Sustainability Policy at the Association of German Development and Humanitarian Aid NGOs (VENRO). She coordinates VENRO’s Climate Working Group and focuses on topics such as loss and damage, climate finance, climate-induced migration, and just energy transitions. Sophie engages in various multilateral processes, including the UN climate negotiations and the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). She holds a degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology and African Development Geography and has previously worked in education for sustainable development and international volunteer exchange programs.
