Martial Bernoux

Dr. Martial Bernoux is the Senior Natural Resources Officer at FAO’s Office of Climate Change, Biodiversity, and Environment, where he leads the Climate Change Team. His team hosts the Food and Agriculture for Sustainable Transformation (FAST) Partnership) and supports FAO’s engagement in UNFCCC COPs, working closely with COP Presidencies and High-Level Champions.

Dr. Bernoux is a member of the UNFCCC Technical Expert Group on Comprehensive Risk Management and has collaborated with the IPCC for more than two decades. Beyond the UNFCCC, he contributes to Science–Policy interfaces, such as the UNCCD Science-Policy Interface. A former researcher at IRD and the University of São Paulo, he has authored over 200 scientific publications.
