Heffa Schücking

Heffa Schücking is the founder and political director of Urgewald and has worked on financial institutions for over 25 years. She has designed many inspirational and successful advocacy campaigns and became the first German to win the prestigious Goldman Environment Prize in 1994. In 2017 she was designated “Energy Rebel” of the year by the green electricity producer EWS Schönau. Heffa is a compelling speaker and gifted advocate and has played a central role in pioneering Europe’s largest coal divestment actions.
