Magdalena Mirwald's work on comprehensive risk management spans across climate change adaptation, disaster risk finance and addressing loss and damage. She has conducted research on national adaptation planning, climate risk insurance, social protection, and accessing climate finance in informal urban settlements. She is working on multi-actor partnerships on disaster risk finance and national L&D mechanisms. As a policy specialist, Magdalena closely follows the UNFCCC negotiations on adaptation and Loss and Damage.
